London Weather

Here's a link to the Weather Underground for London. So far it will be sunny and 35 - 40 degrees. Not bad!

Three days and counting!

It's hard to believe that we'll be leaving for London this Saturday! We wanted to get Christmas done before we really started prepping for the trip, but now we are running out of time! We'll get everything done, we always do.

So the tree and lights come down tomorrow. We are 'staging' our packing in the dining room. I really don't want to take more than we need; I don't want to be schlepping heavy bags around!

It doesn't see real yet, but it will on Saturday as we drive to O'Hare.

14 days!

It is snowing here today. 34 degrees with about an inch of snow. We looked at the weather in London and guess what?! Yep, 34 degrees and snowing. So to test out the new coat and boots I bought for the trip we went for a walk. To my relief, both coat and boots will work perfectly in London.

We now have most of our shopping done and there are a few wrapped presents under the tree. So I'm feeling really good about Christmas and the upcoming trip!

18 days to departure

We have 18 days before we leave! Haven't started packing because I haven't even started Christmas shopping (I know, I know). Thank goodness for Amazon's 2day free shipping. I'd be hurting without it.

We have all of our event tickets. I'll get the schedule from George and post here. Was just out to Westminster Abbey's website http://www.westminster-abbey.org/ and guess what? You can follow them on Twitter! wabbey is their account name.

They didn't have snow last year when George was there, but it would be kind of cool (pun intended) to have a least one day of snow. Isn't it gorgeous!

Can hardly wait!

Preparations for the Trip!

We've been planning for this trip for a few months with George driving us crazy with what shows to see and things to do. But thank god he does that because if it was left to me, we would probably miss out on more than a few great things to do.

George loves London! He is so excited to be sharing London with CJ and me. My main concern is getting a coat that is warm enough. I don't spend a lot of time out in the elements so it has to be one that is waterproof and warm!

Then there is footwear! Found a really nice pair of Crocs with fur lining that are cute (this being the primary concern), comfortable and warm.

Now what to wear.....

Well, I'll think about that after Christmas.

More later.....
